Athlete of the Week Jan 28 – Feb 3 – ELIJAH KING (SR) – Wrestling

“Elijah is enjoying a great season.  He has placed in every tournament this season.  This past weekend Elijah beat his opponent from Centerville in exciting fashion.  He won in overtime, defeating a tough opponent from Centerville.  On Saturday he beat another tough opponent from Sycamore.   I am proud of his efforts.” Coach Jason Laflin  

Athlete of the Week Jan 7 – Jan 13 – AUSTIN VANOSS (SR) – Bowling

    “Austin rolled a series of 416 (215 & 201) in the Back-To-School Bash tournament and a 508 series (220 & 288) in the match against Northwest High School. Austin has proven himself as one of the leaders on this year’s bowling team. His current overall average is 206.1, currently holds the 2nd highest single

Wrestling wins Coaches Classic…

The varsity wrestling team won the large school division at the Coach’s Classic this weekend. The team beat 45 of the 46 teams in attendance. Capturing first place were Moustapha Bal, Jabari Thomas, and Amar Thomas. Andrew Newkirk placed fourth. Nic Schul, Brandon Smith, and Elijah King took fifth place. Buddy Brown and Louis Lobato

Wrestling dominates over Lebanon & Lakota West…

The varsity wrestling team defeated Lebanon on Friday evening. Final score was 40-18 The team also defeated Lakota west 71-3 on Saturday Winning both matches were Austin Hubbard, Nic Schul, Andrew Newkirk, moustapha Bal, Jabari Thomas, Amar Thomas, donovan All, Kemari Brown, and Brandon Smith Way to go Indians!

Wrestling Update

The varsity wrestling team opened the 2018 – 19 season with victories over Franklin County Indiana, East Central Indiana and Hewlitt Trussville Alabama.  The team lost to Ashland and Brownsburg. Going undefeated on the day was Moustapha Bal, Jabari Thomas and Amar Thomas.  Buddy Brown and Tristan Noble finished the day with one loss.  The
