Girls Varsity Softball · Softball takes 5 inning shut out win in the 1000th game in program history – then add another win in the night cap

In the 1000th game in program history the varsity softball team shut out Hamilton 10-0 in 5 innings.  Junior Lindsey Mitchell led the offense  going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and scoring 3 runs. Senior Rhi Hubbard had 2 doubles and Senior Taylor Delk, Junior Hannah Miller each had a double.  Sophomore Maiah Hodge went 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored.  Delk took the win on the mound.

In the nightcap the team delivered an 11-0, 5 inning victory over Dixie Heights, Kentucky.  Junior Jordan Shotwell hit her first homer of the season going 2 for 3 scoring 3 runs.  Junior’s Lindsey Mitchell and Hannah Miller and Senior Natalie Barrett each had doubles.  Mitchell took the win on the mound, her 2nd of the season.  The team is now 6 and 1 and will host league leading Mason today and Franklin Thursday.
