The team took the court Tuesday night and did something that’s never been done in school history – they beat Lakota West. The Lady Indians played a very strong game, tightly contested all night long which ended in a 3-1 victory for the Indians. Fairfield was led by Lexy Thomas who totaled 9 kills, 4 blocks, 28 digs and 42 assists; Kacie Sizemore finished with a career high 22 kills, 3 blocks and 16 digs; Rayna Sayles and Laci Haven combined for 14 kills and 6 blocks while our defensive specialists Olivia Faraci, Taylor Hamblin and Lauren Graber had a great night on serve receive and defense combining for an impressive 2.15 passer rating and 70 digs. At 4-0, it’s only Fairfield and Mason who are still undefeated in the GMC as Fairfield looks ahead to play at Lakota East on Thursday
- The JV team kicked off an exciting night as they won an exciting game against a tough Lakota West team on Tuesday night. Stepping up HUGE for the Indians were Abby Thompson (5 kills, 2 aces, 7 digs) and Jessica Wheeler (10 digs). The setters, Rachel Barth and Bri Bolser both help lift the team on and off the court.
Volley for the Cure
– TODAY at lunch, the Lady Indians will be selling $10 support shirts to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Not only do the proceeds benefit finding a cure for breast cancer but if you wear the shirt the night of the game, you will only need to pay $2 to attend the event. Their annual Volley for the Cure game is Tuesday, Sept. 23 against Hamilton. Thanks for your support as we stand up against breast cancer; buy a shirt today at lunch!!
