Athlete of the Week Feb 10 – Feb 16 LUKE ADAMS (JR) – Wrestling

    “Luke went 4-0 over the weekend to help lead the Indians to four home dual victories.  Luke has over 20 wins this season with 10 pins.  Luke is really peaking at the right time as we head into the postseason.” Coach Blair Willcocks

                  “Kristen has played very well the last two weeks with good defense and strong rebounding.  She has been hampered with a bad ankle and has fought through the adversity.  She played big in our 1st tournament game with 6 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist. 

Athlete of the Week Feb 3 – Feb 9 – OWEN HOOPER (JR) – Swimming

    “Owen qualified for Districts in both the 50 free and 100 freestyles, swimming personal best times.  He also was a part of both the 200 medley and 200 free relays that qualified as well.  Owen has continued to improve drastically over the last couple of years, and now his times in his events are really starting to show.”  Coach Craig Reed

                  “Haleigh continued her drive for most improved Girls Varsity Bowler rolling a team-high 390 series including a personal best 219 against Princeton.  She followed that up with a 372 series in a key win against Hamilton helping to seal a GMC Championship.  Haleigh has worked incredibly hard

Athlete of the Week Jan 27 – Feb 2 – GUNNER HENRY (SR) – Academic

                  “Gunner was an all-GMC standout this weekend during the Academic Team Tournament as Fairfield swept all 6 matches (beating Middletown, Lakota West, Lakota East, Oak Hills, and the perennial power Sycamore twice) by an average of nearly 30 points to convincingly win the GMC tournament crown to pair with the team’s regular season title.  Gunner’s leadership and dominant

     “Kellie finished in 5th place in the 200IM and 6th place in the 100 breast this past weekend at GMC’s. Kellie has been one of the most consistent pieces of our swim team the last four years and she continues to swim well this season and perform at a high level.” Coach Craig Reed    

National Signing Day: February 5th
